In 2022, Sechenov University hosted a national competition among scientists to create industrial laboratories. The participants, whose scientific developments with commercialization potential received the highest rating from the jury, created unique laboratories at the University and began to bring their developments to the stage of finished products for further implementation on the market together with industrial partners.
The Laboratory for Clinical Decision Support based on Artificial Intelligence technologies was supported within the framework of the Priority 2030 Academic Leadership Program, as well as Intelligent Analytics LLC, which became an industrial partner and co-developer of the Laboratory.
The Laboratory team is professionals in the development of clinical decision support systems (CDSS) and artificial intelligence. At the same time, the Laboratory team, includes clinical experts who allow us to develop products that are truly in demand in medical practice. The head of the Laboratory is Biryukov Alexander Alekseevich, who by the time the Laboratory was launched already had experience in developing CDSS based on computer vision in the field of laboratory diagnostics, and was also the Head of IT & Data Science at the NTI Big Data Competence Center at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The main focus of the Laboratory will be the development of CDSS in the field of digital pathology using computer vision technologies, as well as CDSS in the field of pediatric rheumatology using natural language processing technologies.
